George was one of the founding partners of the law firm and continued to practice with the firm until retiring in 2019. He was a graduate of William & Mary and the T.C. Williams School of Law of the University of Richmond. During his distinguished career he was listed in the Best Lawyers in America, and also recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer and a Virginia Legal Elite. He was a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and Past-Chair of the Virginia State Bar Board of Governors of the Family Law Section. He also served as a Continuing Legal Education lecturer for the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and State Bar Course on Professionalism. He received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating of AV Peer Review for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability. He was the 2006 recipient of the Virginia Beach Bar Association Joseph L. Lyle, Jr. professionalism award.
